MRX 8K receivers

Home theater · Processing and power

MRX 8K receivers

Explore MRX 540 8K, MRX 740 8K, and MRX 1140 8K receivers. Each combines surround processing, built-in amplification, and ARC Genesis in a single component.

Choose by the complete speaker layout. Processing channels and built-in amplifier channels are different; some configurations need additional amplification.

AVM processors

Home theater · A separates system

AVM processors

AVM 70 8K and AVM 90 8K handle surround processing and system control while separate amplifiers drive the speakers. Compare them around your layout, subwoofers, and expansion plans.

These are preamp/processors, not receivers. We’ll specify the required amplification and review analog connections, HDMI sources, and calibration together.

MCA & Statement amplifiers

Power amplification · Match your speakers

MCA & Statement amplifiers

MCA 225, 325, and 525 Gen 2 offer two-, three-, and five-channel amplification. For other requirements, discuss Statement P2, P5, and M1 with our team.

Power amplifiers need a suitable preamplifier or processor. We’ll review speaker loads, channel allocation, rack space, ventilation, and power requirements.

STR stereo components

Hi-fi · Dedicated two-channel listening

STR stereo components

Compare the STR Integrated with a separates approach using the STR Preamplifier and STR Amplifier. The integrated amplifier and preamplifier bring ARC Genesis into a stereo system.

The STR Preamplifier needs separate power amplification. We’ll match sources, speakers, subwoofers, and any shared home theater connections to the system.

MRX SLM compact receiver

Living spaces · A discreet installation

MRX SLM compact receiver

MRX SLM 4K combines five amplifier channels and ARC Genesis in a slim receiver designed for spaces where a conventional component is difficult to accommodate.

Its 4K HDMI platform differs from the MRX 8K receivers. We’ll check source connections, the TV’s eARC support, cable access, and ventilation before planning concealed placement.

MDX distributed audio

Installed systems · More than one room

MDX distributed audio

Explore MDX-8, MDX-12, and MDX-16 amplification for installed speakers across multiple listening areas. Start with the rooms, sources, and independent controls you want.

Matrix routing, channel configuration, and room correction vary by model. MDX amplification is specified with the required sources and control system; it is not a standalone wireless speaker system.

ARC Genesis measurement microphone and computer in a listening room

Anthem Room Correction

The room belongs
in the conversation.

ARC Genesis measures the interaction between your speakers and room, then calculates correction for compatible Anthem components. It is part of a considered setup that also includes placement, bass management, and listening positions.

Measure the listening area

A calibrated microphone captures the system’s response at multiple positions, giving the correction process a measured starting point.

Integrate the bass

Review speaker placement, subwoofer position, crossover choices, and the features supported by the selected Anthem model.

Choose a compatible component

ARC Genesis is available in compatible receivers, processors, and stereo components. A standalone power amplifier does not provide room correction by itself.

Plan setup & calibration

Discuss calibration as part of the project. Room correction works alongside placement and acoustic treatment; it does not replace them.

Before you choose.

Should I choose MRX or AVM?

An MRX receiver combines surround processing and built-in amplification. An AVM processor uses separate power amplifiers. Your speaker layout, current equipment, room, budget, and expansion plans help determine the right approach.

Do processing channels equal powered speaker channels?

No. A component can process more channels than its built-in amplifiers can drive. We’ll count the required speaker and subwoofer outputs and identify where additional power amplification is needed.

Does every Anthem product include ARC Genesis?

No. Room correction is provided by compatible processing components. The STR Integrated and STR Preamplifier support ARC Genesis, while a standalone STR, MCA, or Statement power amplifier does not add it on its own. MDX features also differ by model.

Can you help with a stereo system as well as home theater?

Yes. The STR family offers integrated and separate-component approaches for two-channel listening. Tell us about your speakers, sources, subwoofers, and whether the stereo system needs to share equipment with a home theater.

Is MRX SLM the same as an MRX 8K receiver?

No. MRX SLM 4K is a compact five-channel receiver with a different connection and HDMI configuration. We’ll review it around the available space and sources rather than treating it as a smaller version of every MRX 8K feature.

Can you help upgrade an existing Anthem system?

Yes. Share the current model, speaker layout, sources, and what you want to change. We can review suitable components, connections, calibration, and installation needs, then confirm current pricing and availability.
