Audio stands & rack systems

Build a complete foundation

Audio stands & rack systems

Explore EXR and EXRD, SXR and SXR Signature, amplifier-focused SXRC, and reference-level VXR systems. Compare the layouts around your component count, available space, and future plans.

EXR shown. EXR can support components directly, with isolation bases as an optional addition. SXR systems use specified isolation bases as part of the stand.

Configuration matters

Match the support to the component.

HRS selection goes beyond finding a shelf that fits. Component weight, dimensions, construction, and placement all belong in the conversation.

Component weight

List the weight of every component you want to support. Isolation configuration is selected around the actual equipment, so changes in components may call for a review.

Footprint & clearance

Include the equipment’s feet, plugs, cable bends, and ventilation requirements. Check shelf spacing and the added height of the support system together.

Chassis construction

Tell us about the component’s enclosure and existing feet. Different chassis treatments have different applications; we’ll help confirm a suitable approach and placement.

System changes

Share any planned additions or changes. HRS offers modular and reconfigurable designs; compatibility and the parts needed should be checked for your specific system.

Before you choose.

Do I need a complete HRS rack to use an isolation base?

No. HRS isolation bases can be used on existing furniture or another suitable support, as well as within compatible HRS stand systems. We’ll check your component and the surface it will sit on.

Does every HRS rack require separate isolation bases?

The EXR system can support components directly on its plinths, with HRS isolation bases available as an optional addition. SXR systems use specified isolation bases as part of their shelf system. Your proposal should identify the complete support configuration.

Why do you need my component weights?

Weight is part of configuring the support correctly. Provide the actual models and weights so we can match the isolation configuration and check the requirements for your system.

Are Nimbus, Helix, Vortex, and Damping Plates interchangeable?

They serve different chassis applications. Tell us which components you use so we can review the enclosure, support points, and suitable placement. Avoid assuming one treatment or position is right for every component.

Can the system change when I upgrade equipment?

HRS offers modular stands and reconfigurable isolation products. Options depend on the existing model and the new equipment; we’ll confirm which parts can be retained and what needs to change.

How much will an HRS configuration cost?

Pricing depends on the stand or base, size, finish, load configuration, and other selected parts. Request a tailored quote so Audio Exchange can confirm the exact specification, current availability, and delivery or setup options.

Personal advice. A tailored quote.

Let’s configure your HRS system.
