Close-up of the Trinnov AltitudeCI home theater processor
AltitudeCI · Processing, connectivity, and calibration planned as one system.

Choose the processor around the project.

The Altitude family supports immersive formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D. Your speaker layout, amplifier connections, sources, and expansion plans guide the choice.

AltitudeCI

Scalable · network-ready

AltitudeCI

A compact processor for systems built around analog, digital, or networked amplification. Standard configurations scale from 8 to 32 output channels, with Dante and AES67 connectivity.

Eight balanced analog outputs are built in. Higher channel counts use digital or networked connections; we’ll match the licensed outputs and amplifier interfaces to your layout.

Altitude16

Analog-first home theater

Altitude16

A dedicated home theater processor with 16 analog outputs and a path to as many as 20 processed outputs through the +4 digital expansion option.

The extra digital outputs require suitable external conversion and cabling. We’ll check the complete output count, including subwoofers and active crossover requirements.

Altitude32

Larger layouts · room to grow

Altitude32

A configurable platform for ambitious home theaters, with analog-output configurations that can grow with the system. Explore a layout built around your current speakers and future plans.

For more extensive systems, ask about Altitude48ext expansion. We’ll distinguish analog outputs, digital outputs, and processing capacity in the proposal.

Power for the full system.

Altitude processors handle decoding, routing, and calibration. Passive loudspeakers also need power amplification. Compare Trinnov’s Amplitude models around your speaker loads and channel requirements.

Amplitude16

16 channels · flexible allocation

Amplitude16

A 16-channel power amplifier for immersive systems, with bridging options that let a system design allocate more power to selected loudspeakers.

Analog inputs use DB25 connections. Direct Dante connection from AltitudeCI requires the optional Dante input board; it is not standard on every Amplitude16.

Amplitude8

8 channels · balanced analog inputs

Amplitude8

An eight-channel power amplifier designed to partner with Trinnov processors. A practical option to discuss when the system calls for conventional balanced analog amplification.

We’ll check speaker loads, amplifier channel allocation, rack space, ventilation, and electrical requirements before specifying the system.

Amethyst · Hi-fi preamplifier

A stereo system.
A better understanding of the room.

Amethyst combines a stereo preamplifier, DAC, network playback, and Trinnov Optimizer in one component. Its four processing outputs support stereo listening with one or two subwoofers, or an active bi-amplified arrangement.

Bring analog and digital sources together, including a phono input, and explore Roon Ready network playback. We’ll review connections, speaker support, and how Amethyst fits with your existing amplification.

What the technology does for your room.

Room measurement and system design give the processing a purpose. Here’s how Trinnov’s core technologies fit into a home system.

Home theater & hi-fi

Optimizer

Measures how the speakers and room behave together, then applies calibration across frequency and time. The goal is a more coherent system response at the listening positions.

Altitude immersive systems

3D Remapping

Uses measured speaker positions to help preserve the intended spatial presentation when the real room differs from an ideal speaker layout. Placement and system design still matter.

Compatible Altitude systems

WaveForming

Uses multiple subwoofers and a planned calibration process to control how bass develops in the room. Subwoofer count, placement, and room dimensions are part of the design.

Explore manufacturer details ↗

Calibration works alongside speaker placement, subwoofer layout, and room treatment. Feature suitability and the required configuration are reviewed for your project.

Start with the room

A processor is part of a complete system.

Good results start with the room and the layout. We’ll review the speakers, subwoofers, sources, amplification, and calibration needs together.

Speakers, subs & seating

Share the current or planned speaker layout and listening positions. Count subwoofer outputs and any active crossover channels alongside the main speakers.

Connections & sources

List the source devices, amplifier inputs, and control system. Analog, AES/EBU, and networked audio require different connection plans.

Room & bass strategy

Include room dimensions, acoustic treatment, and possible subwoofer locations. We’ll review whether a WaveForming design makes sense for the space.

Calibration & future changes

Discuss measurement and calibration as part of the project. Changes to speakers, subwoofers, or room layout may call for a fresh review and recalibration.

Before you choose.

How do I choose between AltitudeCI, Altitude16, and Altitude32?

Start with the output layout and the amplifiers you want to use. Altitude16 and Altitude32 offer extensive analog connectivity. AltitudeCI emphasizes scalable digital and networked integration, alongside eight built-in analog outputs. We’ll compare the complete connection plan and future needs.

Is Amethyst the right starting point for a stereo system?

Amethyst is Trinnov’s dedicated hi-fi preamplifier, combining room optimization, DAC functions, network playback, and analog inputs. Tell us about your speakers, sources, amplification, and subwoofers so we can review how it fits into your system.

Do Altitude processors power the speakers?

No. They are preamp/processors. Passive speakers need separate power amplifiers, such as a suitable Amplitude configuration or compatible amplification you already own. Powered speakers and subwoofers have their own connection requirements.

Can I use WaveForming with my existing subwoofers?

That depends on the room, subwoofers, available output channels, and placement options. Share the models and room plan so we can review a suitable layout and calibration approach. The number of subwoofers alone does not determine the design.

Can you help with Altitude48ext or a larger system?

Yes. We can review Altitude48ext as part of a compatible Altitude32 expansion plan for a larger home theater. The processor configuration, outputs, conversion, and amplification need to be specified together.

Can you help upgrade an existing system?

Yes. Send the current equipment list and describe what you want to improve. We can discuss a processor change, amplification, room optimization, or a broader installation project, then confirm compatibility, scope, current pricing, and availability.

Personal advice. A tailored quote.
