Dive into the world of superior sound with the Grado Labs Gold3 Prestige Series 2 Cartridge. This exceptional piece of audio technology is meticulously hand-assembled by a dedicated team in Brooklyn, some of whom boast over 25 years of experience. The Gold3 is not just a product, but a testament to the commitment to quality and craftsmanship that defines Grado Labs.
The Gold3 features a unique four-piece OTL cantilever technology, complete with a Grado-specific elliptical diamond stylus mounted on a brass bushing. This design ensures an optimal transfer of signal from the LP's surface to the system's generator, resulting in a lower distortion and greater transparency. The Gold3's OTL stylus/cantilever design enhances the quietness of records, improves the soundstage's height, width, and depth, and presents more detail than ever before.
The Gold3 is powered by a twin magnet system, a hallmark of all Grado phono cartridges. This system optimizes the balance between stereo channels, with all internal magnetic circuit parts held to extremely high tolerances for the desired stereo imaging. Grado's patented Flux-Bridger design allows the Gold3 to have one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems, creating an excellent balance throughout the full frequency range.
The Gold3's development was influenced by the highly acclaimed Lineage Series of cartridges. This influence allowed for a trickle-down of technology and the introduction of a new technique to the Gold3. The result is a cartridge that offers excellent tonal balance, dynamics, and realism, providing a most rewarding reproduction of vocals and instruments. The coil winding techniques, honed during the development of the Lineage Series, allow for a precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging.
