Experience the warmth, power, and timeless design of classic Japanese hi-fi with this carefully assembled Vintage Kenwood Stereo System. This complete setup pairs one of Kenwood’s legendary late-era “monster receivers” with a fully automatic direct-drive turntable and a set of efficient multi-driver loudspeakers—creating a powerful and engaging analog listening system ready for your vinyl collection.
Whether you're looking to start a vintage hi-fi setup or add a striking retro centerpiece to your listening room, this Kenwood system delivers the musical character and build quality that made the brand a household name during the golden age of stereo.
At the heart of the system is the Kenwood Super Eleven, a highly regarded “High Speed DC” stereo receiver produced around 1980. Known for its bold styling, impressive power reserves, and extensive control options, the Super Eleven represents the pinnacle of Kenwood’s classic receiver design.
Delivering approximately 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms with extremely low distortion, the Super Eleven has more than enough power to drive large speakers with authority while maintaining excellent clarity and dynamic headroom. The receiver also includes a built-in phono stage for turntables, multiple line inputs, and the tactile knobs, switches, and illuminated meters that define vintage hi-fi gear.
This particular unit has been fully serviced, ensuring reliable performance while preserving the classic look and sound that collectors and music lovers appreciate.
Paired with the receiver is the Kenwood KD-4100, a well-engineered fully automatic direct-drive turntable designed for ease of use and consistent playback. Direct-drive motor systems provide excellent speed stability, while the automatic tonearm functions make starting and stopping records simple and safe for your vinyl collection.
The KD-4100 features a die-cast aluminum platter, precision servo-controlled motor, and supports both 33⅓ and 45 RPM playback. With low wow and flutter and strong rumble suppression, it delivers smooth, stable playback that allows records to sound their best.
Completing the system is a pair of Kenwood KL-888X loudspeakers, a large vintage 5-way design built to deliver powerful room-filling sound. These speakers feature a multi-driver array including a massive 16-inch woofer, dedicated midrange drivers, and multiple high-frequency drivers to reproduce the full spectrum of music with impressive scale and efficiency.
With high sensitivity and robust power handling, the KL-888X speakers pair beautifully with the Super Eleven receiver, producing deep bass, lively midrange detail, and crisp highs that bring vinyl records to life.
Unlike many vintage components sold individually online, this system has been thoughtfully matched to work together as a cohesive stereo setup. From the powerful receiver to the automatic turntable and large floorstanding speakers, everything you need for a classic two-channel listening experience is included.
This system is available for local pickup only due to the size and weight of the components.
