Magico ACC center channel speaker in black, three-quarter front view

The design

Reference engineering, considered.

The ACC gives a Magico A Series home theater a dedicated center channel for dialogue, music and soundtrack effects. Its three-way layout combines a 28mm beryllium tweeter, a 6-inch Graphene Nano-Tec midrange and two 7-inch bass drivers. Voices and instruments have their own midrange transducer while the woofers handle lower-frequency demands.

The cabinet uses ⅜-inch 6061-T6 aluminum panels, internal bracing and damping. Magico evaluates the enclosure through finite-element simulation and physical testing to control unwanted vibration. Graphene-layered carbon-fiber cones balance stiffness, mass and damping, while the Elliptical Symmetry Crossover integrates the four drivers using Mundorf components.

For your theater, consider the center-channel amplifier, screen height and listening seats alongside the main speakers. The ACC requires external amplification suitable for a 4-ohm load, and its 26-inch width and 96-pound weight call for a properly supported position.

Audio Exchange can help you plan the complete system, confirm Black or Silver finish selection and assess installation at your location. Pricing is per center speaker; production timing and installation arrangements are confirmed before ordering.

Every part has a purpose.

Braced, Sealed Aluminum Construction

The enclosure uses ⅜-inch-thick 6061-T6 aluminum panels, internal bracing and damping. Magico evaluates the structure through finite-element simulation and physical testing to address unwanted cabinet vibration. The aim is to keep the enclosure from adding its own character to the sound.

Beryllium and Graphene Nano-Tec Drivers

A 28mm beryllium dome tweeter handles the high frequencies, while a dedicated 6-inch Graphene Nano-Tec driver covers the midrange. Two 7-inch Graphene Nano-Tec woofers provide bass. The cone construction combines carbon fiber with a graphene layer to balance stiffness, mass and damping; neodymium motor systems and titanium voice coils support driver control.

Elliptical Symmetry Crossover

Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover integrates the four drivers using Mundorf components and 24dB-per-octave Linkwitz-Riley filters. Its design addresses the transitions between frequency bands, with attention to phase behavior and distortion. The driver array, enclosure and crossover are developed as one acoustic system.
