The design
The Magico M6 floorstanding loudspeakers combine a carbon-fiber monocoque enclosure with a diamond-coated beryllium tweeter, a dedicated midrange and three bass drivers. This three-way, five-driver design brings Magico’s M Series engineering into a passive loudspeaker system with substantial scale and bass capability.
Select an amplifier suited to a 4-ohm loudspeaker load, taking room size, listening distance and preferred volume into account. At 390 pounds each, the M6 requires careful planning for delivery access, floor support and final positioning.
A curved carbon-fiber shell works with machined aluminum baffles and front-to-back tension rods to control cabinet movement. A separate carbon-fiber midrange chamber manages the energy behind that driver. The sealed enclosure and three-point MPOD base provide a rigid, stable platform for the transducers.
A 28mm diamond-coated beryllium tweeter handles high frequencies. The 6-inch midrange and three 10.5-inch woofers use XG Nanographene cone technology to balance low mass with stiffness. Separating the midrange from the bass array gives voices and instruments a dedicated driver while the woofers handle low-frequency demands.
Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover uses Mundorf components to integrate all five drivers. The M6 is fully passive; it requires an external power amplifier, with no external active crossover required.
