The design
The SCC brings the S Series approach to a dedicated home-theater center channel. A diamond-coated beryllium tweeter, 6-inch Nano-Tec midrange and two 7-inch woofers form a three-way system, giving voices and instruments their own midrange transducer while the bass drivers handle lower-frequency demands.
The sealed enclosure is formed from 16-inch-diameter extruded aluminum with half-inch walls. Its curved structure, mass and rigidity support the driver array, with computer-aided design used to address diffraction, internal resonance and damping.
