Special-order & installation details

Special orders. Magico loudspeakers are made to order to your chosen model, finish, color and available options. We confirm your specification, current production estimate and installation arrangements before placing the order.

Changes and cancellation. A short, limited cancellation window applies after order placement. Contact Audio Exchange promptly to request a change or cancellation. The exact deadline, eligibility and any applicable costs must be confirmed with our team before ordering; a request does not guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled.

Dealer installation requirements. Magico dealer requirements mean we supply these speakers with installation by Audio Exchange, rather than shipping them for customer installation. Service availability depends on your location and the scope of the installation. Travel distance, the model selected and installation needs affect feasibility and cost. We confirm whether we can serve your address and provide the applicable delivery, travel and installation charges before accepting your order.

The design

Reference engineering, considered.

The SSub, also called S-Sub, adds a dedicated low-frequency system to a stereo or home theater. Two front-firing 13-inch aluminum woofers provide the driver platform, with room size, listening levels and the main speakers’ capabilities guiding system planning.

The drivers use two-layer 75mm voice coils and 0.6 inch of linear travel in each direction. Copper shorting rings in the motor systems address magnetic stability and inductance variation. The thick aluminum enclosure uses internal bracing and damping, refined through simulation, prototyping and physical testing.

Internal Class D amplification supplies 2,250 watts on 120 V or 2,500 watts on 230 V. DSP calibration controls and multiple EQ presets are accessed through a network-based interface, with automatic signal detection, auto-off, clipping protection and thermal protection supporting operation.

At 250 pounds, the SSub calls for careful access and placement planning. Audio Exchange can help coordinate installation and integration with your main speakers and listening seats. Softec and Gloss are priced per subwoofer; color, production timing and service availability are confirmed before ordering.

Every part has a purpose.

Dual 13-Inch Aluminum Drivers

The two front-firing woofers use stiff aluminum cones and two-layer 75mm voice coils, with 0.6 inch of linear travel in each direction. Their motor systems incorporate copper shorting rings to stabilize magnetic behavior, reduce inductance variation and address distortion during cone movement.

Braced Aluminum Enclosure

Magico develops the thick aluminum cabinet through finite-element analysis, prototyping and physical testing. Internal bracing and damping address the structure’s rigidity and unwanted vibration, with the goal of minimizing the cabinet’s own acoustic contribution.

High-Power Amplification and Network-Based DSP

The internal Class D amplifier supplies 2,250 watts on 120 V or 2,500 watts on 230 V. The SSub does not require a separate subwoofer power amplifier. Its DSP platform provides calibration controls and multiple EQ presets, with adjustments accessed through a network-based interface.

Common questions

Questions about this model

What are the price and finish options?

Prices are per subwoofer.

  • Softec: $20,500.00
  • Gloss: $24,200.00

Contact us to confirm the configuration and current production timing. Travel and installation charges are confirmed separately.

Does this subwoofer need a separate power amplifier?

No. Magico SSub has built-in amplification. Your system still needs a suitable signal connection and careful integration with the main speakers. Confirm the appropriate supply-voltage configuration with our team.

How is the subwoofer matched to my room?

Placement, output level, crossover and available DSP controls are considered together with your main speakers and listening seats. Audio Exchange can help plan the connection and calibration as part of installation.

Can Magico be shipped to my address?

Magico dealer requirements call for installation by Audio Exchange rather than shipment for customer installation. Tell us your location and preferred model so we can confirm service feasibility, travel requirements and applicable costs before ordering.

Can I arrange a demonstration?
