Compact Flagship-Inspired Planar Performance

At the heart of POET is the Rinaro MZ6 Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver. The MZ6 combines ideas developed for Meze’s LIRIC and ELITE platforms in a smaller 92 x 63 mm ovoid driver. Its ultra-light 0.06 g diaphragm responds rapidly to musical transients, helping POET reproduce low-level texture, vocal nuance, and precise bass impact without losing the relaxed musical character associated with Meze headphones.

The open-back architecture allows sound to move freely around the driver, creating a spacious, dimensional presentation suited to focused listening. Instruments and voices are presented with natural separation, while the balanced low end retains weight and definition rather than sounding thin or overly analytical.

POET incorporates an Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System that selectively attenuates unwanted high-frequency peaks. Premium Materials and Long-Listening Comfort

Meze engineered POET around a compact magnesium chassis, flexible suspension headband, and carefully shaped circumaural ear pads. At 405 grams, it balances substantial premium construction with even weight distribution and a secure, comfortable fit. The magnetic ear pads can be removed without tools, making future maintenance or replacement simple.

Amplifier and Source Matching

With a 55-ohm impedance and 101 dB SPL/mW sensitivity, POET is compatible with many quality headphone amplifiers, DAC/amp combinations, and premium portable sources. A dedicated headphone amplifier is recommended to hear its full dynamic range, bass control, and spatial resolution.

Open-back listening note: POET allows outside sound in and music to leak out. It is best suited to quiet, private listening environments rather than commuting, shared offices, or situations where isolation is required.
