A 10-inch active woofer, matching 10-inch passive radiator, and 350-watt RMS Class AB amplifier give music added scale and home theater soundtracks convincing impact.
Powerful Bass with Sonus Faber Character
The Gravis II uses a passive-radiator bass-reflex design rather than a conventional port. Its 260 mm active woofer features a treated-paper cone, wide rubber surround, and generous excursion. A matching 260 mm auxiliary bass radiator reinforces the lowest frequencies without introducing the airflow noise that can accompany a traditional port.
Bass response extends to 25 Hz at -6 dB, helping the Gravis II reproduce the weight of orchestral recordings, electronic music, pipe organ, and cinematic effects while retaining the timing and tonal character needed for a high-quality two-channel system.
350-Watt Class AB Amplification
A high-linearity Class AB amplifier supplies 350 watts RMS and up to 700 watts peak. This provides the current and headroom required to control both the active driver and passive radiator through demanding musical passages and dynamic movie soundtracks. The result is bass intended to sound integrated and articulate rather than detached from the main loudspeakers.
Independent Control for Music and Home Theater
The Gravis II is especially useful in systems that share the same loudspeakers between a stereo amplifier and an AV processor. Independent Master and LFE volume controls allow the level used for music playback to be adjusted separately from the dedicated low-frequency-effects channel used for movies.

Flexible Connections for Nearly Any System
A mono RCA LFE input connects to an AV receiver or surround processor. A separate mono RCA line-level input supports stereo preamplifiers and integrated amplifiers equipped with a subwoofer or preamp output. The supplied Neutrik Speakon cable also provides a high-level connection directly from an amplifier’s speaker terminals, making the Gravis II compatible with traditional two-channel amplifiers that do not provide a dedicated subwoofer output.
The line/high-level and LFE paths have separate level controls, simplifying integration when the subwoofer serves both music and home theater systems.
Designed to Complement the Sonetto Collection
Sonus Faber developed the Gravis II as a visual and acoustic partner for the Sonetto collection, although its controls and connection options allow it to work with a wide variety of loudspeakers. Its compact, squared cabinet is finished with wood veneer or lacquer and topped with black leather embossed with the Sonus Faber logo.
Four finishes are available: Walnut Wood, Wenge Wood, Matte White Lacquer, and Piano Black Lacquer.
