Akira Remix

Akira Remix – 2xLP Vinyl Soundtrack

Experience the sonic reimagining of one of the most iconic anime soundtracks ever created with the Akira Remix 2xLP. Based on the legendary 1988 animated film by Katsuhiro Otomo, this deluxe vinyl release features a full remix and remaster of the original score, produced under Otomo's direct supervision. For audiophiles and collectors alike, this pressing uses Hypersonic High-Resolution audio (192kHz/24bit) for unprecedented depth and clarity.

Mastered by Shoji Yamashiro of Geinoh Yamashirogumi and cut by Japan’s top engineer Tohru Kotetsu, the album breathes new life into the experimental and ceremonial tones that made the original so unforgettable. Remix contributions from Japanese music legends including Makoto Kubota (Les Rallizes Dénudés), Yasuharu Konishi (Pizzicato Five), and Kuniaki Haishima (Kowloon’s Gate) blend traditional Japanese instrumentation with ambient electronics and hypnotic rhythms.

Pressed across two high-quality vinyl records, the Akira Remix is a collector’s dream for fans of anime soundtracks, experimental music, and Japanese pop culture history. For more soundtrack vinyl, be sure to explore our curated selection of vinyl records available now at The Audio Exchange.
