Contra: Shattered Soldier (Original Video Game Soundtrack)

Ship to Shore PhonoCo. proudly presents the first vinyl pressing of the classic video game soundtrack to KONAMI’s Contra: Shattered Soldier! Pressed on translucent yellow double vinyl, this edition features new artwork by Johnny Dombrowski.

A follow-up to the beloved Contra: Hard Corps (also known as Shin Contra), Contra: Shattered Soldier continues the intense action as the Earth faces terror from the organization “Blood Falcon.” Only Bill Rizer can stop them by obliterating everything in his path!

Released in late 2002 in the U.S. and Japan, with a European release in early 2003, this run-and-gun masterpiece took advantage of the PlayStation 2 platform by incorporating polygonal graphics into its 2D side-scrolling perspective, adding unprecedented depth to the on-screen action. The adrenaline-pumping visuals are perfectly complemented by a heavy metal industrial techno score that would fit right into a Fear Factory remix album.

Originally released on CD in Japan in December 2002, this incredible score has been highly sought after by collectors, often fetching over $100. Now, for the first time, it is available on vinyl! This definitive release features 2 slices of 12” wax, available in translucent yellow and limited edition variants. Don't miss your chance to own one of the best video game soundtracks of the early 2000s.
