Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition (The Vinyl Collection)

Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition (The Vinyl Collection) brings DJ NOTOYA’s celebrated deep dive into Japanese boogie, funk, disco, and modern soul to clear purple vinyl. Drawn from the Victor Records catalog, this eight-track selection highlights the polished grooves and dance-floor energy that defined Japan’s 1980s wamono sound.

Curated specifically for vinyl, the collection includes Naomi Akimoto’s “BEWITCHED (ARE YOU LEAVING SOON),” Yoko Oginome’s “LAZY DANCE,” and Reiko Takahashi’s sought-after “Sunset Road,” presented on vinyl for the first time. Hiroshi Nagai’s evocative Tokyo-night artwork completes this distinctive city pop release.
