Free Soul Nujabes – First Collection

Free Soul Nujabes – First Collection gathers 17 essential recordings associated with the late Japanese producer Nujabes, whose unmistakable fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and soulful melodies continues to resonate with listeners worldwide. Curated by Toru Hashimoto for the Free Soul series, this compilation celebrates the warm piano passages, fluid rhythms, and beautifully reflective atmosphere that define the Hydeout Productions sound.

From the beloved “Feather” and “Luv (Sic.) Pt. 2” to “Modal Soul,” “Reflection Eternal,” and collaborations with Uyama Hiroto, Terry Callier, and haruka nakamura, this Japanese CD provides a rich entry point into the world of Nujabes. First Collection is a compilation rather than a standalone Nujabes studio album.
