Hiroshi Sato - Super Market on Clear Yellow Vinyl
Super Market is Hiroshi Sato’s landmark solo debut album, originally released in 1976 on Wave Concept through Nippon Columbia. Recorded at Electra Studios in California with local musicians including Amos Garrett and Joe Carrello, the album captures Sato’s early blend of Japanese city pop, AOR, jazz-funk, and West Coast studio polish.
This limited-edition Japan import pressing presents Super Market on clear yellow vinyl. Highlights include Sato’s self-cover of “Rainbow Sealine,” originally written for Minako Yoshida, along with “F. W. Y.,” later covered by Chu Kosaka, and the mellow California atmosphere of “Night In L. A.”
