Time, Hiroshi Sato’s second album, is a 1977 Japanese city pop and AOR favorite that blends mellow soul, jazz-funk, soft rock and fusion around Sato’s expressive keyboard work. This limited-edition Japan import presents the album on clear deep blue vinyl.
The record moves from the warm, breezy grooves of “Minami Kaikisen” and “Yamate Hotel” to the relaxed “Saigo-No Tejina” and the funkier “Bad Junkie Blues.” Its all-star sessions include Haruomi Hosono, Tatsuo Hayashi, Shuichi “Ponta” Murakami, Pecker, Nobu Saito, Kenji Takamizu and Akihiro Tanaka.
