Symphony Ihatov is Isao Tomita’s sweeping orchestral work inspired by the imaginative world of author and poet Kenji Miyazawa. Featuring Hatsune Miku as virtual soloist with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Naoto Otomo, the symphony blends full-scale classical writing, choir, electronics, and synthesized voice into a singular modern performance.
This limited 2021 Japanese vinyl edition, bearing the cover tagline “Toward the far away IHATOV!”. pairs the complete seven-movement symphony on LP with a bonus 7-inch featuring “Princess Knight (Encore).” The package showcases newly commissioned artwork by acclaimed Hatsune Miku illustrator Rella and includes five reproduction art prints.
