PUFFY’s Jet LP (originally released as Jet CD in 1998) is the duo’s massively successful second studio album and one of the defining releases of late-’90s J-pop. Produced by Tamio Okuda, the album captures PUFFY at their commercial peak, blending catchy pop songwriting with rock-influenced arrangements and a distinctly effortless cool.

The album compiles a string of hit singles released between 1996 and 1998, including “Kore ga Watashi no Ikirumichi,” “Circuit no Musume,” “Nagisa ni Matsuwaru Et Cetera,” and “Ai no Shirushi.” Several of these tracks topped the Japanese charts, helping Jet surpass one million copies sold and earn major industry recognition in Japan. 

Musically, Jet leans further into a polished pop-rock direction compared to their debut, featuring contributions from notable Japanese songwriters including Masamune Kusano (Spitz) and Yosui Inoue. The result is a tight, hit-filled album that balances playful energy with strong songwriting, often feeling like a “best-of” collection due to its high concentration of singles. 

This vinyl edition—released as part of Sony’s Japanese reissue campaigns (including Great Tracks / Sony Music Direct series)—brings the album to a 2LP format, allowing the full tracklist to breathe across four sides.
