Melting Moment – Clear Red Vinyl

Melting Moment is the cult-favorite 1992 release from Japanese electronic-pop project POiSON GiRL FRiEND, led by nOrikO. On this 2026 Japanese clear red vinyl reissue from Sad Disco, the record's hypnotic fusion of ambient techno, trip-hop, dream pop and French-influenced chanson feels as mesmerizing as ever.

Moving between delicately layered electronic textures, wistful vocals and unexpected covers, the six-track release includes “Hardly Ever Smile (Without You),” “Those Were the Days,” “Quoi” and the evocative title track. A standout piece of early-'90s Japanese left-field pop, Melting Moment is especially rewarding for listeners exploring the intersection of dreamy electronic music and the Japanese underground.
