Step into the surreal world of mid-century country television with Nashville Gold, a vivid compilation capturing the eccentric charm of Nashville's prime-time broadcasts from 1956 to 1975. This collection features a blend of heartfelt ballads, psychedelic twangs, and satirical tunes, showcasing legends like Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, and Roger Miller in their televised glory.
Pressed on deluxe gatefold vinyl, this limited edition release includes 500 copies—250 in “Boob Tube Glitz” gold and 250 in “Tootsie’s Booth” black—randomly inserted. Remastered in 2023 from first-generation analogue tapes, it also features scholarly liner notes by Alvin Lucia and original cover art by Eric Adrian Lee, offering a nostalgic journey through a unique era of country music television.
