ON Guitar
Masayoshi Takanaka's ON Guitar is a guitar instrumental album originally released by Victor in 1978. Part of the "PROFESSIONAL HIGH-TECHNIQUE SERIES" (following Tsugutoshi Goto's On Bass and Hiro Tsunoda's On Drums), this recording highlights Takanaka's fluent technique and melodic sensibility across a mix of covers and originals.

This edition is credited to Lawson Entertainment, Inc. and features contributions from a stellar lineup of players, including Yukihiro Takahashi and Robert Brill on drums, Haruomi Hosono and Getao Takahashi on bass, plus Pecker and Motoya Hamaguchi on percussion, among others. The opening track, "BREEZIN’" (Bobby Womack), became a standout, and the album also includes the exclusive original "RAINBOW" and a distinct version of The Sadistics' "BLUE CURACAO".
