Pocket Park is Miki Matsubara’s 1980 debut album and one of the defining releases of Japanese city pop. Best known for the album version of “Mayonaka no Door / Stay With Me,” the record pairs Matsubara’s expressive vocals with polished AOR arrangements, funk-driven rhythm sections, bright brass, and sophisticated late-night pop songwriting.
This Japanese color-vinyl edition presents the album on aqua blue vinyl and includes a special poster. Beyond its signature opening track, highlights such as “It’s So Creamy,” “Cryin’,” and “Trouble Maker” showcase Matsubara’s range across breezy AOR, danceable funk, and energetic pop-rock.
