Moonglow captures Tatsuro Yamashita at a pivotal moment, blending nocturnal city pop with polished funk, soul, jazz, and disco. Originally released in 1979 as his fourth studio album and first LP for the AIR label, it became one of the longest-charting records of his career and helped set the stage for the breakthrough Ride on Time.
This limited Japanese edition presents the album on 180g black vinyl using the 2023 remaster. Most of the songs pair lyrics by Minako Yoshida with music by Yamashita, including the propulsive fan favorite “Funky Flushin’,” the smooth “Rainy Walk,” and the radiant closer “Let’s Kiss the Sun.”
