The Lady in the Balcony: Lockdown Sessions – Translucent Yellow 180g 2LP

The Lady in the Balcony: Lockdown Sessions brings Eric Clapton's intimate 2021 acoustic performance to vinyl. Recorded without an audience at Cowdray House in West Sussex after his Royal Albert Hall concerts were canceled, the session features longtime collaborators Nathan East on bass and vocals, Steve Gadd on drums, and Chris Stainton on keyboards.

This limited-edition 180g translucent yellow double LP from Mercury Studios presents 17 stripped-back interpretations of blues favorites and Clapton classics. Hear “Layla,” “After Midnight,” “Tears in Heaven,” and “Bell Bottom Blues” in a warm, relaxed setting, alongside songs by Peter Green, J.J. Cale, and other influential writers. Packaged in a gatefold jacket, this pressing offers a compelling document of four musicians performing together with exceptional ease and chemistry.
