The Magico S7 (2026) represents the monumental conclusion to Magico’s newly updated and critically acclaimed S Series. Designed and manufactured in Hayward, California, the S7 stands as the most ambitious loudspeaker ever created within the S Series lineup, bringing flagship-level engineering and performance to Magico’s reference speaker platform.
Weighing an astonishing 384 pounds per speaker, the S7 is a five-driver, three-way floorstanding loudspeaker engineered to deliver breathtaking realism, deep bass authority, and uncompromising accuracy. Drawing upon innovations originally developed for Magico’s flagship M Series, the S7 integrates advanced measurement techniques, cutting-edge materials, and a massively rigid aluminum enclosure to achieve sound reproduction approaching the theoretical ideal of a multi-way loudspeaker system.
From the groundbreaking S3 introduced in 2023, to the larger S5 and the compact S2, the S Series has continuously pushed the boundaries of what is possible in high-performance loudspeaker design. The S7 represents the ultimate expression of that journey—bold, authoritative, and engineered without compromise.
During development of the S7, Magico employed a Near-Field Scanner (NFS) robotic measurement system to analyze the speaker’s acoustic behavior across the entire three-dimensional sphere surrounding the loudspeaker. This advanced testing process created a comprehensive acoustic map of the S7, allowing engineers to refine both on-axis and off-axis performance with exceptional precision.
The result is a loudspeaker that delivers remarkable tonal accuracy, seamless driver integration, and an expansive soundstage that faithfully recreates the original recording environment.
The S7 features a sculpted aluminum enclosure designed using advanced 3D simulation to reduce internal resonance and cabinet coloration dramatically. The curved front baffle minimizes diffraction while increasing structural rigidity, ensuring that the enclosure contributes virtually no audible distortion to the reproduced signal.
Using a highly sensitive laser vibrometer, Magico engineers analyzed microscopic vibrations in cabinets during development. This forensic approach allowed unwanted resonances to be identified and eliminated early in the design process, resulting in one of the quietest and most inert speaker cabinets ever produced.
The enclosure also increases internal volume to 180 liters—significantly larger than previous S Series designs. This expansion extends bass response by an additional 5Hz while maintaining the same system sensitivity, allowing the S7 to deliver deeper and more authoritative low-frequency performance.
At the heart of the S7 lies Magico’s most advanced driver technology to date. The system is built around the Nano-Tec Gen 8 cone, a revolutionary composite structure that sandwiches an aluminum honeycomb core between graphene-reinforced carbon fiber skins. This construction achieves an extraordinary balance of low mass, extreme rigidity, and exceptional damping—dramatically reducing distortion while improving dynamic response.
Each driver is mounted within an all-new third-generation chassis developed through years of research. This platform improves force distribution, optimizes suspension geometry, and utilizes a dual-post architecture to balance dynamic wire tension while enhancing airflow through the driver structure.
The S7 employs a five-driver array designed to operate as a single unified system:
The vertically aligned triple-woofer configuration—technology first realized in the M Project loudspeaker—reduces floor-bounce effects and improves in-room bass response. Each woofer provides half an inch of linear excursion, enabling the S7 to produce bass that is both deeply powerful and exceptionally controlled.
To ensure seamless integration between drivers, the S7 utilizes Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover (ESXO). This sophisticated three-way crossover employs acoustical-target 24dB Linkwitz-Riley slopes to maintain phase and frequency linearity while reducing intermodulation distortion.
Premium crossover components from Mundorf of Germany are used throughout, and for the first time in an S Series loudspeaker, the S7 incorporates Duelund CAST PP Radial capacitors from Denmark. This exceptional parts quality ensures complete coherence across the audible spectrum—resulting in natural tonal balance, transparency, and lifelike musical reproduction.
The Magico S7 is available in a curated selection of luxury finishes, including six Softec powder-coat options and six high-gloss automotive finishes polished to a mirror-like sheen. Each cabinet rests on a precision-engineered three-foot support system featuring constrained-layer damping for enhanced stability and vibration control.
With its commanding presence, extreme engineering, and uncompromising sonic performance, the S7 stands as a true flagship loudspeaker, an iconic culmination of the Magico S Series legacy.
Magico’s S Series represents the company’s reference-level loudspeaker platform, combining advanced aluminum enclosure engineering, Nano-Tec driver technology, and crossover designs derived from the flagship M Series. The lineup includes four models designed for different room sizes and performance goals.
