2M 78: choose the right cartridge
The 2M 78 is intended for 78 rpm shellac records. Its larger 65 µm spherical tip suits coarse-groove playback, rather than the microgrooves of ordinary vinyl LPs. Choose it for the record format, not simply because a record is old or monaural.
Complete cartridge; headshell sold separately
This version includes the 2M 78 body with its Spherical stylus fitted. It uses standard half-inch mounting and requires installation and alignment. Check tonearm height clearance, weight range and your phono input before ordering.

Will this cartridge fit my turntable?
Check the tonearm’s half-inch mounting, cartridge height and supported weight range, then confirm you have an MM phono input. Some low-profile tonearms need a different body such as 2MR. Send us your turntable and current cartridge model before ordering if you are unsure.
Can I play regular vinyl LPs with the 78 stylus?
No. The 65 µm 2M 78 tip is intended for shellac 78 records rather than microgroove vinyl LPs. Use a stylus appropriate to the record, and confirm the turntable can play the correct speed.
Can you match it from my turntable model?
The turntable model helps, but its cartridge may have been changed. Send us the current cartridge model and a clear photo if you are unsure.
