2M Silver: cartridge and SH-4 headshell together
The 2M Silver is an OEM member of the 2M range with an Elliptical stylus and silver-plated copper coils. It offers a replaceable stylus and a 5.5 mV moving magnet output. Ortofon lists this model as a historical product, so replacement and upgrade choices should be checked against the exact body.
What the premounted version includes
The 2M Silver cartridge and its fitted stylus are supplied on an Ortofon SH-4 headshell. This reduces the work of attaching a cartridge to a separate headshell, but final alignment, overhang, balance and tracking force still need to be checked on your turntable.

Requires a compatible removable-headshell tonearm connector and sufficient balance range. Check overhang, alignment and clearance; this is not a universal fit. Use a suitable MM phono input.

Will this premounted version fit my tonearm?
It requires a compatible removable-headshell connection, with sufficient balance range and clearance. An S-shaped arm alone is not proof of fit. Confirm the connector, overhang and alignment requirements for your exact turntable before ordering.
Can I replace or upgrade the Silver stylus?
Ortofon places Red, Blue and Silver in the same stylus-interchangeability family. The Blue is the supported Nude Elliptical upgrade. Confirm your current body before selecting a replacement; Silver is listed as a historical model.
Can you match it from my turntable model?
The turntable model helps, but its cartridge may have been changed. Send us the current cartridge model and a clear photo if you are unsure.
