2M Blue: cartridge and SH-4 headshell together
The Blue moves beyond Red with a Nude Elliptical diamond. It is designed for listeners seeking more detail, openness and resolution while retaining a replaceable stylus and a moving magnet phono connection.
What the premounted version includes
The 2M Blue cartridge and its fitted stylus are supplied on an Ortofon SH-4 headshell. This reduces the work of attaching a cartridge to a separate headshell, but final alignment, overhang, balance and tracking force still need to be checked on your turntable.

Requires a compatible removable-headshell tonearm connector and sufficient balance range. Check overhang, alignment and clearance; this is not a universal fit. Use a suitable MM phono input.
The recommended tracking force for this assembly is 1.8 g. Verify the setting after fitting or changing a stylus, rather than assuming the previous adjustment is correct.

Questions before ordering
Will this premounted version fit my tonearm?
It requires a compatible removable-headshell connection, with sufficient balance range and clearance. An S-shaped arm alone is not proof of fit. Confirm the connector, overhang and alignment requirements for your exact turntable before ordering.
Can I upgrade my 2M Red with the Blue stylus?
Yes. Ortofon supports the Blue stylus as an upgrade for the 2M Red and 2MR Red. You can retain a correctly installed, compatible cartridge body.
Can you match it from my turntable model?
The turntable model helps, but its cartridge may have been changed. Send us the current cartridge model and a clear photo if you are unsure.
