The Ortofon 2M Blue replacement stylus uses a Nude Elliptical diamond to deliver greater detail and resolution than the Red stylus. It is a replacement for a worn Blue stylus and an upgrade option for a compatible Red cartridge body, allowing you to keep the installed body in service.
Replacement and upgrade compatibility
Ortofon recommends this stylus for 2M Blue, 2MR Blue and 2M Blue premounted cartridges. It also supports upgrades from 2M Red, 2MR Red and 2M Red premounted models. Confirm your exact cartridge family before ordering; this is not a universal replacement for every Ortofon cartridge.

Will this stylus fit any Ortofon cartridge?
No. Match the exact cartridge family and model. Do not choose by color alone or assume that OM, Concorde Music, and 2M parts are interchangeable.
Can I upgrade my 2M Red with the Blue stylus?
Yes. Ortofon supports the Blue stylus as an upgrade for the 2M Red and 2MR Red. You can retain a correctly installed, compatible cartridge body.
Can you match it from my turntable model?
The turntable model helps, but its cartridge may have been changed. Send us the current cartridge model and a clear photo if you are unsure.
