Renew your Red cartridge without replacing its body
The Ortofon 2M Red replacement stylus is an Elliptical diamond stylus assembly for an existing compatible cartridge. Choose it when your Red cartridge body is installed and working, but the stylus needs replacement. Keeping the body in place avoids the work of mounting a complete new cartridge.
Made for compatible Red models
Ortofon recommends this stylus for the 2M Red, 2MR Red and 2M Red premounted cartridges. Identify the exact cartridge model before ordering: an Ortofon brand name or matching colour alone does not establish compatibility.
Stylus only, with an upgrade option
The assembly includes the diamond and cantilever. It does not include a cartridge body, headshell or complete cartridge. If you need those parts together, choose the complete 2M Red cartridge.
For a compatible Red body, the 2M Blue stylus offers a Nude Elliptical upgrade. After fitting either stylus, follow Ortofon’s instructions and verify tracking force rather than assuming the previous setting is correct. Audio Exchange can help identify your cartridge before you buy.

Will this stylus fit any Ortofon cartridge?
No. Match the exact cartridge family and model. Do not choose by color alone or assume that OM, Concorde Music, and 2M parts are interchangeable.
Can I upgrade my 2M Red with the Blue stylus?
Yes. Ortofon supports the Blue stylus as an upgrade for the 2M Red and 2MR Red. You can retain a correctly installed, compatible cartridge body.
Can you match it from my turntable model?
The turntable model helps, but its cartridge may have been changed. Send us the current cartridge model and a clear photo if you are unsure.
