2MR Bronze: a lower-profile fit
The Bronze introduces a Nude Fine Line diamond to the 2M stereo range. Its slim contact profile is designed to trace fine groove information, making it a considered step beyond the Elliptical models for listeners who value detail and precise setup.
2MR versus standard 2M
The 2MR body is 3 mm shorter than standard 2M and weighs 6 g. It is intended for low-profile tonearms, including relevant Rega designs, where cartridge height matters. Check the exact turntable and arm before choosing; a brand name alone does not establish fit.
A complete cartridge with a replaceable stylus
You receive the low-profile body with its Nude Fine Line stylus fitted. A headshell is not included. Mounting, alignment and adjustment are required, along with a suitable MM phono input.
The recommended tracking force for this assembly is 1.5 g. Verify the setting after fitting or changing a stylus, rather than assuming the previous adjustment is correct.

Does the low-profile 2MR body fit every Rega turntable?
The 2MR body is 3 mm shorter than a standard 2M body and is intended for low-profile tonearms. Confirm the exact turntable, arm and setup before ordering; the brand name alone does not guarantee compatibility.
Can I upgrade Bronze with a Black or LVB 250 stylus?
Ortofon supports the Black and Black LVB 250 styli as upgrades within the Bronze / Black cartridge family, including the corresponding 2MR and premounted versions. Confirm the exact assembly and reset tracking force for the new stylus.
Can you match it from my turntable model?
The turntable model helps, but its cartridge may have been changed. Send us the current cartridge model and a clear photo if you are unsure.
Does a complete cartridge mean it is premounted?
A complete cartridge includes the body and stylus. A headshell is included only when the listing specifically says premounted. A standard cartridge still needs mounting and alignment.
