The Ortofon Concorde Music Black moving magnet cartridge pairs the integrated Concorde body with a nude Shibata diamond. The tip's long, narrow contact surface is designed to trace fine groove information, making Black the Shibata step above the Fine Line Bronze.

Requires a compatible removable SME/bayonet headshell connection and a tonearm that can balance the 18 g cartridge. Use an MM phono input. Confirm your exact tonearm model before ordering.
Installation
Keep the stylus guard fitted while mounting. Secure the connector, balance the arm, then set and verify 1.8 g tracking force with a stylus-force gauge. Set anti-skate and arm height according to the tonearm and Ortofon instructions.

Will this fit my turntable?
Check for a compatible removable SME/bayonet headshell connection and a counterweight that can balance the 18 g cartridge. Tonearm shape alone does not confirm fit. Send Audio Exchange your turntable and tonearm model if you are unsure.
Is this a complete cartridge or a replacement stylus?
This listing includes the complete Concorde Music cartridge with the named stylus fitted. If you already have a Concorde Music body, use the replacement-stylus option to replace or change the diamond grade.
Do I need a new cartridge body to upgrade?
You can change the stylus grade while retaining a Concorde Music cartridge body. The complete cartridge is sold separately if you also need the body. Follow Ortofon's user guide when replacing the stylus and checking setup.
What phono input does it need?
Use a moving-magnet phono input or separate MM phono preamp. Recommended loading is 47 kΩ with 150–300 pF capacitance. A standard line input alone does not provide phono equalization.
