Klipsch La Scala AL6 – Legendary Horn-Loaded Precision, Reinvented

The Klipsch La Scala AL6 represents the most advanced evolution of one of the world’s most iconic horn-loaded loudspeakers. Originally introduced in 1963, this sixth-generation La Scala brings decades of refinement into a commanding three-way design that blends vintage soul with cutting-edge acoustic engineering—making it one of the most efficient and revealing loudspeakers ever created.

With a remarkable 103dB sensitivity and 120dB maximum SPL, the AL6 delivers powerful dynamics and vivid realism even from low-powered amplification. It features a newly upgraded K-1133-HP 3” midrange compression driver mated to the patented K-406M Tractrix® horn with Mumps technology, ensuring wide, consistent sound dispersion with immersive presence and detail.

The extended phase plug-equipped K-771 tweeter improves high-frequency clarity and dispersion, while the 12” K-281 woofer resides in a newly designed horn-loaded vented cabinet—the first of its kind in La Scala history—delivering deeper, more robust bass response down to 40Hz.

The AL6 also features a redesigned I/O panel supporting both passive and active inputs, with dedicated support for the optional Heritage Active DSP Crossover. This crossover, derived from the flagship Jubilee, aligns time and phase for pinpoint imaging and tonal purity, making the AL6 one of the most accurate loudspeakers ever offered by Klipsch.

Finished in stunning real wood veneers including American Walnut, Black Ash, and American Auburn, and wrapped in refined silver metallic grille cloth, the La Scala AL6 is hand-assembled in Hope, Arkansas—just as Paul W.
